Slot Dress Protoype

Selected in the top 20 of the
We The Makers Sustainable Fashion Prize 2023

Exhibited at the National Wool Museum in Geelong
2nd June - 31st October 2023

An experimental dress designed to be infinitely changeable for the wearer. Boxy so that can be worn by many body shapes and sizes. The dress is covered with large double welt slots, which, although can be worn as is, allows for double-sided strips of fabric to be woven through creating a change in colour, print and fit. They are made from a mix of upcycled tapestries and silks, cotton craft offcuts and hemp. The dress base and lining is made from deadstock cotton.
